A gentle place to learn about your body.
Plain, accurate answers to the questions most of us were never taught. Nothing here assumes you already know anything, and nobody is keeping score.
A note before you read anything else
I'm a sex educator. I'm not a doctor, a nurse, a psychologist or a therapist, and nothing on this site is medical advice or a diagnosis. It's here to help you understand your own body and ask better questions. If something hurts, worries you, or feels different to your usual, please see a healthcare professional. They have heard it before, I promise.
Where would you like to start?

Bare Curiosity began as a list of questions I was too embarrassed to ask anyone. I went and found the answers properly, from clinicians, from research, and from people living it. Now I write them down plainly so the next person doesn't have to be brave just to learn something ordinary.
Everything here is sourced, and I'll tell you honestly when the evidence is thin.

Ask the thing you would never say out loud. I answer a handful of the most common questions in a post every Thursday, and never in a way that could identify anyone.
